Introduction
“Excellent day- well worth attending lots of valuable advice”
Mary Glome - Wokingham BC
According to a CIEH survey, housing enforcement activity had generally increased since the introduction of the HHSRS and that trend is likely to continue.
Time came to re-assess Housing EHPs’ approach to enforcement activity and ensure they completely mastered the principles of good practice in enforcing HHSRS.
The ultimate test of the officer’s decision taking technique is where their enforcement action, under the HHSRS, is appealed to the Residential Property Tribunal. Their chances of success are increased where they can demonstrate that they have a logical, thorough and competent approach to their action.
This one-day course provided delegates with a clear understanding of the issues surrounding the enforcement of HHSRS giving them greater confidence, clarity and consistency to effectively fulfill their enforcement duties.
Largely based on the original (National Training) materials it has been updated to account of experience since the implementation of the Housing Act 2004 and the HHSRS Enforcement Guidance.
Highly interactive, the course offered a mixture of tutorial sessions and work on relevant case studies. Delegates received the direct support of two knowledgeable and experienced trainers.
