Explaining sewerage law and clarifying your legal knowledge
The legal framework concerning drains and sewers is complex and can add to the pressures on environmental health practitioners. Cases from 2007/08 highlighted the confusion amongst the profession and sewerage undertakers, raising the urgent need for clear definitions of the issues and good practice guidance.
In order to support EHPs with these difficult concerns, this workshop explained sewerage law from an EHP perspective and helped delegates to successfully address the most challenging of sewerage and drain enforcement issues with confidence and clarity.
