Helen Hartropp BSc(Hons), CertFEd
Since gaining an honours degree in Food Science and Food Microbiology from the University of Leeds, Helen has spent 20 years lecturing in further education colleges and higher education institutions.
As manager of a NHS Food and Environmental laboratory, she worked with a broad range of clients including infection control teams. Helen maintained her link with training by running CIEH courses in food safety and acting as a CIEH examiner for the Advanced Certificate in Food Safety. Helen was Quality Manager for Pathology for a large district NHS Trust for several years as well as a CIEH auditor.
Helen wrote the course book and trainers’ notes for the CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene in Health and Social Care.
