Increasing efficiency through flexible working
Wednesday 13 July – London
The concept of “mobile working” is becoming increasingly popular as it provides both flexibility and efficiency of working either in the field or at home, leading directly to performance improvement and cost savings for any organisation.
There is a strong business case for the public sector, especially local authorities, to move towards the implementation of mobile services. Advances in information and communication technology (ICT) have created a wealth of options to improve the delivery of public services. These include solutions that aim to reduce levels of social exclusion, improve access to services and transform working environments and workspace culture.
Mobile applications also provide a key opportunity to enhance the delivery of services by relieving administrative burden and helping to streamline operation. In turn, this drives progress, economic and fuel savings, reduces carbon emissions and contributes to the achievement of green objectives.
