Nutrition and Balanced Eating 2010

Nutrition LargeSpecifically designed to answer the growing demand to qualify to deliver* the CIEH Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets, this workshop guided delegates through each element of the qualification step by step, exploring current Government guidelines as well as the syllabus content, course materials and training techniques.

Through exercises designed to be incorporated into your own training delivery, our highly experienced speakers talked about the different nutritional requirements of hospital patients, school children and older people as well as long-term nutritional public health issues. Delegates left with practical tips on how to modify recipes and menus to meet the nutritional needs of various groups and individuals.

Outcomes

By attending this workshop delegates:

  • Gained a sound understanding of the eat-well plate and key healthy eating principles
  • Obtained full appreciation of the qualification’s level, content and style
  • Identified new ways to encourage participation and engage interest of candidates from different education backgrounds and the food industry
