Planning to Achieve: Addressing the new challenges for EHPs and planners

Planning to Achieve large

This one-day conference focused on how the relationship between EHPs and planners can be developed to improve efficiencies with a collective aim to achieve a more sustainable and healthier tomorrow.

In partnership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), this conference addressed the implications of the Planning Act 2008 and will inform you of the Infrastructure Planning Commission responsibilities. By attending you will also gain an insight into the Planning Policy Statement on eco-towns, the ‘Planning for a Sustainable Future’ white paper and the new RTPI Good Practice Note on Planning and Health.

Practical and interactive workshops helped the EHPs to better interpret current policies and convert them into practical advice when working with planners, as well as throwing light on complex jargon and discovering new opportunities to establish joint initiatives.
