Preparing well for successfully defending an appeal
Wednesday 29 April - London
Tuesday 2 June - London
Thursday 23 July - London
The Housing Act 2004 has given the Residential Property Tribunal Service further jurisdictions to deal with housing law issues. The Act covers a variety of housing issues including unfitness, houses in multiple occupation, selective licensing and Home Information Packs.
Responding to demand from previous delegates, we have designed this brand new one-day course as a practical and interactive workshop to help you understand the role of the RPT as well as providing you with the essential tools to prepare an appeal case.
Starting from the point in the process when an HHSRS assessment of accommodation has been made, the course encouraged participation and discussion. All along the day, delegates received details of the ‘case’ for the day in order to assemble a ‘bundle’ relevant to the case. The day culminated in a mock RPT Hearing.
Sessions:
- Casework Preparation
- The Role of the Residential Property Tribunal
- Dealing with an Appeal
Outcomes
- Gain essential procedural information and insight into good practice
- Understand the role and procedures of Residential Property Tribunals
