A conference exploring how housing and health professionals are working together to reduce the impact of poor housing on health.
Friday 21 May 2010 – 15Hatfields, London
In the UK, over 70% of housing is in the private sector. While the majority of landlords and home owners maintain properties to a good standard, the private sector is also home to some of the most unhealthy and unsafe properties. As a key determinant of health, housing interventions play a vital role in helping to reduce the burden on the health service.
This one-day conference examined how effective partnerships and working methods can be formed between local authority private sector housing teams, health professionals and academics to improve health.
