The Housing Act 2004 introduced the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). This has completely changed the way local authorities assess housing conditions. It is essential that all private sector housing staff working within or with Local Authorities ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the system.

If you are a private sector housing practitioner, it is likely that you will need to apply HHSRS on a regular basis. Consistency in the scoring of HHSRS is vital to its successful use. Training in the system will enable you to benchmark your rating against others and ensure that your scores are in line with the national approach.

Delegates can choose to attend day one only or both days if you wish to be certified as competent in using HHSRS. Delegates who complete both days of the seminar successfully, including a written assessment, will receive a certificate from EHRB. Day one is not certified. CIEH CPD points will also be awarded to both workshops.

One day

  • CIEH members - £200.00 + £30.00 vat = £230.00
  • Non members - £245.00 + £36.75 vat = £281.75

Two days

  • CIEH members - £430.00 + £64.50 vat = £494.50
  • Non members - £520.00 + £78.00 vat = £598.00
