Following a review of first aid training and approval arrangements by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the CIEH is launching a series of first aid qualifications.
The first in this series of qualifications is the CIEH Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, launched in October 2009. This one-day course is suitable for workplaces classed as lower-risk, and those with fewer than 100 employees.
March 2010 sees the launch of our second first aid qualification, the Annual First Aid Refresher. It is recommended that candidates refresh their first aid knowledge every year, and this course is designed to refresh both the Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work qualifications.
If you are already registered to deliver the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, you will automatically be registered to deliver the Annual First Aid Refresher free of charge.
