The CIEH has written to the Commons Energy and Climate Change Committee, setting out a number of principles it believes the new National Policy Statements for significant infrastructure projects should follow.
The letter, also signed on behalf of The Royal Town Planning Institute, The Planning Officers’ Society, Environmental Protection UK, The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and The Environmental Law Foundation expresses some common concerns about the content and format of the draft energy statements published in November.
