CIEH and TSI to sponsor 2012 the Municipal Journal Public Protection Achievement Award

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Trading Standards Institute (TSI) have joined forces again in 2012 to sponsor the MJ Public Protection Achievement Award.
This award provides a unique opportunity for councils to showcase the best work being carried out by regulatory services and to highlight innovative examples of good practice. Applications can range can range from workplace health and safety to consumer protection issues, including food safety and standards to the wider regulatory service, including environmental protection.
Submissions should focus on a single project or initiative. In addition they must be evidence-based and draw on current examples including customer and business feedback, and engagement with key stakeholders to meet council and community objectives. Applicants will need to demonstrate how the project has secured positive public protection.
Entering is free and simple. All you have to do is provide a summary outlining your achievements plus a 100-word précis outlining how it has made a difference to your citizens. To find out more about what you have to do and the judging process please see HOW TO ENTER
