London Training Consortium

The London Training Consortium currently consists of six boroughs. The Consortium aims to support a programme of training for environmental health students in London, and thereby increase the pool of qualified practitioners available for recruitment to London environmental health services.

The programme is open to students studying environmental health in either year two or later of the BSc (Hons) or year one or later of the MSc. It offers flexibility for local authorities in the Consortium and provides a unique training environment for students that would otherwise not exist within London.

The members of the Consortium support an intake of students each year, offering a small bursary towards training costs and supported training placements until the end of their college courses.

Current members of the Consortium are:

  • London Borough of Brent
  • London Borough of Croydon
  • London Borough of Hackney
  • London Borough of Islington
  • London Borough of Sutton
  • London Borough of Wandsworth

Applications for the 2011/2012 intake of students are invited from the 1 November until 5pm on the 18 November when it closes. Interviews will take place on the 29 November at CIEH, 15 Hatfields, SE1 8DJ

To discuss the scheme or for queries, please contact the Kath Lewis, the London Student Development Officer (kath @crowleydesign.co.uk)
