Graduate membership is awarded to CIEH members who hold a recognised professional qualification in environmental health, but who have not passed a CIEH controlled ‘gateway’ assessment.
Graduate members can use the letters GradCIEH after their name.
Graduate members (except retired members) must achieve 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year.
There are four ways to achieve graduate membership:
- If you have passed a CIEH accredited degree since 1997 but do not yet qualify for an EHRB Certificate of Registration.
- If you passed a CIEH accredited degree prior to 1997 but have not yet passed a CIEH "gateway assessment" such as the Assessment of Professional Development or Membership Assessment.
- If you were previously a Corporate Member of the CIEH prior to 1990 and have not yet passed a "gateway assessment" or the readmission points system.
- If you qualified as an Environmental Health Practitioner outside the UK (and continue to live outside the UK).
Graduate membership costs £177.00 for 2012.
