Former Strategic Director of Adur and Worthing Councils, Tim Everett, has taken up the post of CIEH Director of Policy.
A former CIEH Trustee between 1994 and 2000, Tim has previously worked as Director of Services for Worthing Council and Executive Head of Public Protection at Sutton LBC.
CIEH Chief Executive Graham Jukes said:
“Tim has a deep understanding of the work of the CIEH, having been a Trustee as well as experience as an environmental health manager and in the upper echelons of local government management.
“This experience makes him an ideal choice as director of policy to help us manage the changes that are taking place in local government.”
Tim has also worked as an adviser on environmental health and environmental protection to the Local Government Association and Lacors for over 10 years.
He said:
“The first month has flown by. I have spent some time listening and talking to colleagues, trustees and partners.
“There are challenges ahead – not least on climate change and health inequalities – so I know I will be busy. I look forward to tackling these challenges and helping the CIEH achieve real improvements in public health.”
