Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club Ltd Lightfoot Green Lane Fulwood Preston PR4 OAP

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health North West Region is organising a full day workshop aimed at Environmental Health Practitioners and all other persons who regularly deal with problems and issues associated with Private Water Supplies.

Members of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health North West Region have highlighted the need for training in this important area of public and environmental health. David Clapham, a leading expert on private water supplies, has kindly agreed to speak at this full day workshop where he will cover issues associated with Private Water Supplies including source protection, risk assessment, monitoring requirements, competency, treatment, legal and practical implications of the 2009 Private Water Supplies regulations.

There will also be a session of the latest advice and information on private distribution systems. Delegates will be encouraged to actively participate and bring with them various problems and issues that they have experienced. Throughout the workshop David will compile a list of them and will then address them in a "Problems and Issues" session at the end. We do hope that you are able to attend : we look forward to seeing you and supporting this North West Region Event There is an award of 4 hours and 40 minutes core time CPD available. Places for students are limited.

Please find attached the Programme and the relevant e-Booking form details of the workshop.

This not-to-be-missed presentation and workshop has been rated very highly by previous delegates. Workshop places will be filled fast and you are invited to book a delegate place as soon as possible. Don't miss out ! It is felt that there will be an interest-spread by local authority service areas as it is understood that there is presently a wide variance for private water supplies responsibiltiy.

Please feel free to forward for any of your colleagues in food safety teams, environmental protection teams, housing teams, health and safety teams, drainage engineers, building control, and building surveyors, who may be interested . Register on the attached delegate e-Booking Form and return to Bill Yates on email yatesb@hotmail.co.uk
