Call for Applications
CIEH North Western Region is twinned with the Californian Environmental Health Association in USA. Each year the two organisations exchange reciprocate delegates. Applications are invited for attendance at the 2010 CEHA 59th Annual Educational Symposium in Riverside, 6th -9th April 20010. The details of which are on the CEHA website www.ceha.org - events section. Riverside is in southern California, east of Los Angeles.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to network with delegates of CEHA AES in Riverside, and will receive free registration and accommodation including meals for the duration of the Symposium. NW Region will offer up to the first £500 toward the cost of air fares, any remainder must be paid by the successful applicant.
Applicants must be a member of the North Western Region in good standing. The selection will be made by members of the NW Region Management Board.
Applicants must provide their full name, address, and Membership number, including telephone and e-mail contact details as appropriate.
The following criteria will be used in the selection of delegates for participation in the NWR/CEHA exchange:
Willingness to commit all necessary personal funds for the cost of the trip, which may include additional costs towards the airfare and ground transport, additional hotel accommodation if staying longer, meals outside the symposium, plus appropriate gifts for international hosts.
Willingness to sign a waiver releasing CIEH NWR of all liability resulting from physical, logistic and political problems.
Agreement to share experiences with NWR membership via Regional network, NW Region Management Board, and webpage by producing feedback report/attending appropriate meeting to give feedback as requested.
Reasons for wishing to represent the Region.
Possible topic which might be offered as a brief presentation at the CEHA AES.
Confirmation of availability on dates of AES.
