This publication provides guidance for landlords and fire safety enforcement officers in both local housing authorities and in fire and rescue authorities on how to ensure adequate fire safety in certain types of residential accommodation. It offers practical advice on fire risk assessment and contains case studies with suggested fire safety solutions.
In March 2009 an update to the guidance was published which seeks to clarify some of the issues covered in the document. You can access this update by clicking here.
