This report was commissioned by the CIEH on behalf of Friends of the Earth. It examines the costs to the NHS of cold dwellings across England and in particular the cost of private rented dwellings within the ‘F’ and ‘G’ energy efficiency rating bands.

It estimates that the annual cost to the NHS of not improving these dwellings to the average energy efficiency rating as being at least £ 145 million.
