Fellowship

Fellowship remains the highest honour which Council can bestow upon a member. It allows a member to refer to themselves as a Fellow of the CIEH and use 'FCIEH' as their designatory letters.

Fellowship can only be awarded to people who are Voting members.

There are two routes to Fellowship:

1) Election
2) Thesis

Fellowship by Election

Fellowships by Election will be granted to Voting members ordinarily of at least 10 years' standing who, in the opinion of the Council, have given distinctive service to environmental or public health or have shown evidence of special knowledge or ability in relation to the work of environmental or public health.

A member can be nominated by their peers, their Region/SIG or via a petition.
