To gain QCA accreditation for the CIEH Level 2 Award in Nutrition we require the support of the sector skills council, People 1st. The QCA have only recently approved People 1st's unit of learning, which defines the common core content for a level 2 award in nutrition in the National Qualification Framework. As the CIEH Level 2 Award in Nutrition maps closely to the unit of learning, accreditation has been secured but we are required to change the name of our qualification to CIEH Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets.
There will be no change to the content of the qualification and no changes to the trainer requirements. The titles of our materials will be amended as they are reprinted. Certificates will henceforth bear the new title.
