Caroline Larissey, Quality and Standards Manager, National Hairdressers Federation is responsible for championing the employer voice and ensuring quality, standards and education across the hair, beauty and aesthetics sector. Caroline is also the chair of the Beauty and Advanced Practices Alliance group and a Trustee of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners representing Beauty Therapy Advanced Practices and Aesthetics.

Charlotte Rose, Senior Environmental Health Officer, City of Wolverhampton Council covers commercial safety and holds the lead role for safety in the beauty industry. Charlotte has a vast amount of experience across registered activities including Tattooing, Semi-permanent make up, Cosmetic Piercing, Acupuncture and Electrolysis. Charlotte has actively been working with other Regulatory Bodies for Sterilisation issues and Extreme Body Modification. Charlotte has a keen interest in supporting officers from other authorities and for better regulation.

Professor David Sines CBE, Independent Chair, Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners was until recently Pro Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean and Professor of Community Health Care Nursing at the Faculty of Society and Health at Buckinghamshire New University. He is a Fellow of the RCN and received a CBE in the 2010 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for ‘Services to Health Care’. David is a Trustee with The Burdett Nursing Trust and was appointed as Independent Chair of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners in Jan 2016.

Graeme Tunbridge, Group Manager, Devices Regulatory Affairs at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), is responsible for teams dealing with notified body oversight, clinical investigation approval, compliance investigations, borderline and classification issues and implementation of new EU medical device legislation. Graeme has been a civil servant for 14 years and has spent his career working primarily on healthcare policy.

Jasvir Bal, Health Protection Practitioner, Walsall MBC is currently working as a Health Protection Practitioner for Walsall Council. Prior to this role Jasvir worked as a Health Protection Nurse for Public Health England.  She has worked across Community and Acute Healthcare as an Infection Control Nurse: work includes conducting Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) audits within Hospital wards/ care homes/ GP Practices & Dental surgeries. Investigating healthcare associated infections within Community and Acute healthcare settings and supporting Local authority Environmental Health Officers with IPC issues in Tattooing/Beauty industry.

Jeffery Leib, Principal Licensing Officer, Harrow Council has spent more than 22 years licensing everything from taxis to tattooists and now leads the licensing team in a busy outer London borough. He is also one of the founding members, and a Fellow, of the Institute of Licensing. Jeffrey was the first editor of its website and has produced more than 20 editions of Licensing Circles and Licensing News. As a former vice-chair of the IOL, Jeffrey also sat on the LGA’s licensing policy forum since 2003, and has been the chair since 2014.

Sandra Moore, Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner & Technical Director, Hygenisys is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, with over 27 years’ experience in Food Safety and Health & Safety. She now works for Hygenisys Environmental Health Consultancy, providing high level technical, strategic advice and practical solutions to a number of different industries. She also provides specialist food safety training for Environmental Health Officers on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Dr Sarah Jones, Health Protection Policy and Legislation Branch, Welsh Government has over 30 years’ experience as an EHO. She started her career as a district EHO South Wales. Upon completion of her Masters in Public Health she took a lecturing role at Cardiff Metropolitan University. She then moved into the private sector and after completing her PhD, she returned to local government and now works for Shared Regulatory Services as a Team Manager in Communicable Disease and Health and Safety. She is currently on secondment to Welsh Government to support the implementation of Part 4 and 5 of the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017.
