The Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978 was a ground breaking piece of legislation, assigning duties to a number of different parties and giving Inspectors a wide range of very extensive powers. This course equips officers with the information they will need to regulate health and safety using the powers in the Health and Safety at Work Order alongside their pre-existing powers.

Using case studies delegates will consider what action should be taken using which powers in a variety of situations, and the justification for their choices.

This course is suitable for newly qualified officers and as a refresher for those with more experience.
