This practical workshop draws upon a number of small group exercises based around key themes as set out below.

Highlight topics

  • The inter-relationship between environmental health and legal services
  • Domestic noise cases falling outside the scope of statutory nuisance
  • The perils of relying exclusively on the incidence of complaints to gauge the likely true impacts of noise cases upon the community at large
  • The Noise Act 1996: time to reconsider these powers?
