Modern Day Slavery is a national concern as it can take place anywhere, however, it is typically uncovered in certain types of premises. Environmental Health Officers may encounter forms of modern slavery while carrying out their routine inspections across nail bars, car washes, restaurants and HMOs.

CIEH President Dawn Welham will host this webinar, sharing her concerns on the increasing numbers of victims suffering in the UK. She will be joined by speakers (TBC) discussing:

  • What key roles Environmental Health Officers play in identifying and referring victims
  • How the police and multi-agencies carry out joint operations to tackle modern slavery

This webinar will be an excellent introduction to Modern Day Slavery and how it intersects with environmental health, and these topics will be explored in greater detail at the CIEH Modern Day Slavery Conference: Collaborating to Tackle Exploitation, being held on 26 February 2019 at 15Hatfields, London.

Please note that if you cannot take part in this live webinar, you should still register here to receive the on-demand recording shortly after the live broadcast. All CIEH webinars are now available to members on MyCIEH under ‘My Resources’. CDP certificates are subject to our T&Cs
