The FSA is consulting on proposed changes to the Food Law Code of Practice which will introduce qualification flexibilities, allowing a wider cohort of environmental health and trading standards professionals to undertake food official controls which the current Code restricts. They are also consulting stakeholders on a new Competency Framework ‘that defines competency by activity rather than taking a role or profession based approach’.
This interactive webinar will provide an overview of the proposed changes and our panel of experts will discuss how the local authority environmental health workforce, food businesses, consumers and professional organisations such as CIEH and CTSI may be impacted.
