Overview

The UK is currently experiencing a public health emergency as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is critical that employers, employees, the self-employed and clients take steps to keep everyone safe.

Ahead of restrictions being lifted on 27 July, the Welsh Government will be publishing guidance for those providing close contact services. It will help practitioners understand how to work safely and keep themselves and clients safe during this pandemic, ensuring as many people as possible comply with social distancing guidelines.

The webinar will provide practical advice  and support on what practitioners need to do to restart operations during the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with the guidance.  Brought to you in partnership with the Welsh Government, this session will enable you to participate in the discussion and have the opportunity to share your experiences of the pandemic in the following Q&A session.

We want to hear from as many voices as possible, so please feel free to submit any questions and comments to us in advance of the webinar. You will also be able to submit questions during the webinar. 

The webinar will be available to watch on-demand after the live broadcast, so you can still engage with the conversation if you are not able to register.

When?

Taking place on 23 July, this webinar will be facilitated by professionals and expert panellists from the Welsh Government.  Expert speakers are Dr Sara Hayes, Welsh Government Professional Advisor for COVID-19 and Dr Sarah Jones Welsh Government Senior Environmental Health Advisor for COVID-19.

As the COVID-19 coronavirus global emergency continues we are facilitating bringing together practitioners and enforcement officers  to discuss how they are responding to this crisis. In these unprecedented times it’s more important than ever for CIEH to facilitate these discussions.

Anyone with an interest in special procedures, including practitioners and enforcement officers. 

What you need to know

This is a free webinar, however, if you want to attend, you must register online to confirm your attendance. Once registered, you will be sent an email with joining instructions.

The webinar is limited to 3,000 attendees and registering guarantees you a place on the webinar. Once we reach 3,000 registrations no more will be accepted. All our webinars will be available for access post-broadcast so that they can be watched again or at a more convenient time if you are unable to attend.

  • This webinar amounts to 1 hour of CPD.
  • CIEH will only issue CPD certificates to registered delegates who have signed in and engaged with the entire session.
  • Where a team has watched the webinar together, a CPD certificate will only be issued to the registered delegate who attended the session; however, team leaders are welcome to issue their own CPD certificates to colleagues who have attended. There is guidance on this in the My Resources section of MyCIEH.
  • CIEH is not able to issue CPD certificates to those who view the recording of a webinar at a later date.
