Andy Ebben


Andrew Ebben CMIOSH FCIMSPA GIFireE FCIPD, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, Registered Occupational Safety and Health Consultant. Andrew is a Chartered Member of IOSH and a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He specialises in swimming pool safety, was a contributor to HSG179:2003 and prepared the first draft on swimming pool supervision for HSG179:2018. He was also the Managing Director of IQL Ltd, the commercial training arm of RLSS UK, was the RLSS UK Director of Education and has experience as a local authority safety officer. He has written a number of training manuals on pool and beach lifeguard operations and on the pre-hospital management of swimming pool aquatic spinal cord injuries. Andrew is retained by solicitors, enforcing authorities, coroners and UK police forces as an expert witness in civil and criminal litigation and fatal accident enquiries. He regularly runs training courses in health and safety management and on swimming pool safety standards as a tutor for CIMSPA, IOSH and CIEH.


Andy Lucas CMIOSH CEnvH MIIRSM, Managing Director at Bespoke Safety. Andy has over 30 years’ experience working in health and safety as a regulator, senior lecturer, trainer and consultant in local government, HSE and the private sector. His focus is fatal accident investigation, application of PACE, Coroners Inquests and carrying out complex investigations leading to prosecution as an advisor to local authorities.

Caroline Organer

Caroline Organer, Liability Technical Risk Manager at AXA Insurance. Caroline has over 20 years’ experience within the private sector in a wide variety of roles from audit to consultancy to senior management roles, heading up safety, security and more recently sustainability for a variety of hospitality and manufacturing organisations. Caroline has experience in managing and providing strategic direction for risk management across diverse sectors with particular focus on health and safety and food safety. She has managed large insurance programmes requiring engagement and negotiation with both insurers and brokers.

Christian Harris

Christian Harris, Founder of Slip Safety Services. Christian is a Slipologist – bringing proven science to the problem of slips and falls. The founder of Slip Safety Services, he is on a mission to prevent 500,000+ slip and fall accidents annually across the globe. Slips are often overlooked, misunderstood or simply deemed inevitable, so Christian focuses on explaining that slips are serious, scientific and stoppable. Christian is also the host of the Safety and Risk Success Podcast.

Jonathan Hayes CEnvH MCIEH

Jonathan Hayes CEnvH MCIEH, Risk Director at Moto Hospitality. Jonathan is responsible for providing risk assurance to Moto’s operating board and shareholders on all aspects of regulatory compliance, insurance, business continuity and ESG. A Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, he has worked in both the public and private sectors. Jonathan is a trustee of the CIEH, Chair of the CIEH’s Membership, Learning and the Profession Advisory Group and a member of the CIEH Health and Safety Expert Advisory Panel.

Lawrence Webb

Lawrence Webb, Chartered Fellow and President of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Lawrence has 30 years’ experience in safety, health, and environmental (SHE) management and interactive training across a wide range of industries, specialising in construction. He works as Group SHE Strategy Director at Costain.

Louise Hosking

Louise Hosking CMIOSH CEnvH MCIEH CMaPS PIEMA SIIRSM, IOSH Immediate Past President, Director of Hosking Associates and Co-Founder of the OneWISH coalition. Louise is a chartered environmental health professional with over 30 years’ experience within the public, private and third sectors. A transformational leader and global influencer, she is passionate about the potential we have to unlock abilities within people to create high-performing and psychologically safe teams who create value. Louise recently completed a one-year term as IOSH President which focused on governance, social sustainability and putting heart into Health and Safety. She is Director of Hosking Associates and co-founded the OneWISH coalition which globally promotes and supports under represented groups in Safety and Health leadership roles, bringing organisations, membership bodies and others together to promote inclusion and fairness.

Luisa Fernanda Pallares

Luisa Fernanda Pallares, Special Projects and International Standardization Manager at ICONTEC. Luisa has experience in management systems standardization including ISO 45001 and together with Stefan Larsson led the development of ISO 45002.

Louise Mansfield

Louise Mansfield, Legal Director at Bevan Brittan. Louise specialises in health and safety and criminal regulatory law and advises on a range of regulatory legal issues including health and safety, building safety, fire safety, product liability, food safety, white collar crime, contentious environmental and transport law. She represents a mixture of clients, from large multi-national organisations to individuals, across a range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, care, energy, waste, higher education, utilities, retail and charities.

Sarah-Jane Brown

Sarah-Jane Brown CMIOSH, Senior Environmental Protection Officer at Cornwall Council. Sarah-Jane has spent over 20 years in Local Authority with Cornwall Council, the majority of these working as a Health and Safety Inspector. She has undertaken the full range inspections, accident investigations, complaint work as well as leading on a number of Primary Authority relationships. Her focus has been on working with businesses to achieve compliance through education rather than enforcement. She led the Council’s Covid response including running the very popular Covid webinars that engaged over 5,000 businesses. She now manages a team of officers undertaking nuisance, environmental crime and dog warden work.

Una Kane MSc CEnvH MCIEH

Una Kane MSc CEnvH MCIEH, Environmental Health Manager, Food and Safety Team at Rother and Wealden District Councils. Una is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with thirty five years’ experience. In her career Una had the unique experience of a secondment to the Department of Health and was a founder member of the Local Authorities Co-ordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS) food hygiene group in 1998. She served as a Food Hygiene Adviser until she retired from the LACORS group after being Chair in 2009/10. She believes the focus of a food safety team is the protection of public health and that operational effectiveness combined with a sixth sense for wrongdoing is the key to achieving this. In recent years Una established the export hub at Rye with the fish exporters Chapmans.
