The workshop will discuss legal perspectives, highlighting relevant criminal prosecutions and civil litigation and consider swimming pool operation, systems of work (pool safety operating procedures (PSOPs), normal operating procedures (NOPs) and emergency action plans (EAPs), and practical risk assessment, as well as relevant guidance, best practice and other sources of information including HSG179 - Health and Safety in Swimming Pools, 2018 and BS EN 15288, and topic areas such as lifeguard zone visibility tests (LZVT), Natural Scan:20 and assisted lifeguard technology (ALT).
