CIEH wins three-year Food Standards Agency contract

Food Standards Agency contractWe are pleased to announce that the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) recently won a three-year Food Standards Agency (FSA) contract to deliver training for local authority officers.

The contract was awarded following a wide call for expressions of interest and the FSA was impressed by our detailed and professional approach to training delivery.

The training, which is currently being developed, will focus on areas where scientific and technical knowledge is required to uphold excellent food safety standards including:

  1. Allergens
  2. HACCP in cheese making
  3. Sous Vide
  4. Shellfish Purification
  5. Micro criteria – focus on Listeria
  6. Applied Microbiology, update on the basics
  7. E.coli O157 guidance
  8. Vacuum Packing
