The Health and Safety Advisory Panel advises CIEH on policy positions, helps form our consultation responses and provides expertise and knowledge to the work of the Policy and Campaigns Team.

CIEH is represented on the Health and Safety Executive / Local Authority Enforcement Liaison Committee (HELA) and the Local Authority (LA) Health and Safety Practitioner Forum.

  • CIEH believes that the scope of the proposed England-wide scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures should be extended to include all the non-surgical cosmetic procedures that are subject to registration under the Local Government (Various Provisions) Act 1982. This would mean including tattooing, piercing and electrolysis.
