We have partnered with the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) to offer free FPH Associate membership to CIEH Associates, Members and Fellows. Plus, if you’re a CIEH Member or Fellow, you can also now upgrade to FPH Practitioner membership and unlock even more benefits.

Through reciprocal membership, you can expand your network and connect with like-minded professionals, deepen your knowledge, and champion environmental and public health on a broader scale - supporting your commitment to continuous learning, collaboration and meaningful impact.

Free FPH Associate membership

If you're a CIEH Associate, Member or Fellow, you can join FPH for free as an Associate member. Benefits include:

  • A certificate of FPH membership and welcome pack
  • Access to over 30 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and opportunities to contribute to the FPH aim – to ensure that the world’s population achieves, and maintains, its fullest potential for health and well-being
  • A monthly e-bulletin with updates from FPH, public health news, and ways to get involved
  • Network with FPH and other members working at the most senior public health posts in the UK and worldwide
  • Invitations to FPH regional and national events.

How to apply

To become an FPH Associate member, visit the FPH website and complete their joining form. To access the application link, please login to MyCIEH as a CIEH Associate, Member or Fellow and the link will appear below.

Upgrade to FPH Practitioner Membership

CIEH Members and Fellows may also be eligible to become FPH Practitioners for an annual membership fee. Practitioner membership requires a graduate qualification in a relevant field (or equivalent) and at least 3 years’ experience working at the level of a practitioner.

In addition to all the benefits of Associate membership with FPH, Practitioner membership includes:

  • Free online subscription to the internationally recognised, quarterly FPH Journal of Public Health
  • Voting rights in elections of the FPH Board, President and Vice President
  • Access to the CPD diary (find out more)
  • Use of the post-nominals PFPH whilst you are a member of FPH
  • Opportunity to join the European Public Health Association (EUPHA).
