Annual General Meeting, 20 June 2019
Chadwick Court, 15 Hatfields
All members are invited to attend the AGM at 2pm on Thursday 20 June to take part in reviewing the year and influencing the future direction of the CIEH.
Karen Buck, Member of Parliament for Westminster North, will be our guest speaker. She will discuss her recent Private Member's Bill on landlords and the private rented sector. With the vital issue of housing now dominating the domestic political landscape, the Government has made fixing the housing market a priority; making the work CIEH and its members do on housing and health even more relevant and important.
Karen currently serves on the Joint Committee of Human Rights and on the Panel of Chairs. Karen previously sat on the Work and Pensions Select Committee. She has been the MP for Westminster North from 2010 and was the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Leader of the Opposition, Ed Miliband. She also served as Shadow Minister for Work and Pensions and then for Education.
The meeting will also include a strategy update from our Chief Executive Anne Godfrey. All members are welcome to attend the AGM, which is a free event. To ensure that there is sufficient provision of seating, please book your place below.
