We regret to announce that Julie Barratt CEnvH MCIEH is stepping down from her position as CIEH President for health reasons.
For almost three years, Julie has served tirelessly as President, representing CIEH with public appearances, launching the President's Challenge as a way of connecting members during the pandemic and creating a range of initiatives to promote, encourage and support people with careers in environmental health.
Combined under her newly-conceived President's Commission, Julie established mentoring schemes, our Careers Ambassadors programme, and the Directory of Student Training Opportunities to help match students' experiential needs with work placement opportunities. Most recently, Julie has led work to refresh and enhance CIEH's family of Vice Presidents, which will be taken up by the Board as part of fulfilling her legacy to the work of the Institute.
CIEH owes a great debt of gratitude to Julie for her contribution as President and we send her our very fondest wishes.
