CIEH highlights importance of environmental health professionals in letter to new First Minister of Wales, Eluned Morgan

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) has welcomed Eluned Morgan to her new role as First Minister of Wales, following her appointment by the Senedd on Tuesday 6th August. 

In a letter sent on Monday 12th August, CIEH recognised the momentous occasion of the first female Welsh Minister. Morgan came to this position from her previous role as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and the detailed letter from the Institute celebrated our joint commitment to promoting and protecting public health, wellbeing and the environment.  

CIEH is keen to work alongside the Welsh government to highlight the pivotal role of environmental health professionals and deliver upon our Manifesto commitments.
