CIEH set to host Health and Safety Conference with mental health and wellbeing focus

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Health and Safety Conference taking place online on 19 March, will provide delegates with the opportunity to gain key insights from industry-leading experts on the latest health and safety government initiatives and policy updates.

The conference promises to explore some of the most pressing issues in health and safety; exploring the introduction of new technology into the health and safety sector and what this means for the current workforce from Stuart Hughes, President, IOSH. As well as a talk on the future of health and safety regulation and enforcement by Sarah Bates from the Local Authority and Safety Unit, HSE.

Notably, the conference will feature a presentation of guidance and direction on the new BS30416 framework, designed to provide awareness on menstruation, menstrual health and menopause in the workplace from Nicola Packer, BSI and Sheila Lord, BMR. Christopher Dark, CBRE will also facilitate important discussions surrounding the legal system’s role in fostering good health and safety practices.

Drawing on real life case studies on health and safety breaches and wellbeing in the workplace, alongside discussions on the provision of safe events, the conference provides delegates the chance to learn from the latest advancements in monitoring and managing health, safety and wellbeing.
