Executive Director of Environmental Health Louise Hosking steps down from her role with CIEH

Louise Hosking has today stepped down from her role as Executive Director of Environmental Health.

Louise departs CIEH with our thanks and best wishes for the next step in her career. Commenting on her time here, Louise says,

"I have had the enormous privilege of working alongside talented and passionate colleagues, tackling complex issues, and contributing to meaningful projects across Environmental Health; returning to my roots to give a voice to the most vulnerable in our communities. I am immensely proud of the work we have accomplished together, and the positive transformation achieved.

Growth always comes from stepping outside of comfort zones and embracing change. I am excited to seek out new opportunities that will offer new challenges which continue to make a difference locally, nationally and internationally.

As many EHPs, I have been working at a significant rate of knots even before Covid, so I have decided to take a brief break over the summer to pause and reflect. I recently moved into a new house which also needs my attention!

Thank you for your unwavering dedication and commitment to our shared goals and for giving me the opportunity to serve in this capacity".

The Board has interim arrangements in place and will, in due course, announce plans for a successor.
