CIEH's member magazine EHN has been recognised at the 2020 memcom membership excellence awards.
These annual awards celebrate the positive impact that professional bodies, trade associations, membership charities and other not-for-profit membership organisations have on public good. The winners were announced on 17 September via an online event for the first time.
EHN was highly commended in the Best Magazine for a Professional Association or Membership Organisation < 20K circulation category. CIEH was also shortlisted in the Best Campaign on a Shoestring and Best Email Newsletter categories.
Debbie Wood, Executive Director of Membership & External Affairs, said: "I am delighted that, following our relaunch of EHN in February 2019, our hard work has been recognised with an award of highly commended. With a 25% increase in entries, competition for this year's awards was particularly strong, so being shortlisted for a further two categories was an achievement in itself."
John Innes, Executive Director at Think, said: "This award is a fantastic testament to the creativity and dedication of the EHN team and the work being done at CIEH to support Environmental Health Practitioners. During the last six months, the team have reported on the many ways in which members have responded to COVID-19, telling their stories and supporting the profession."
