BS 8233 consultation: responding to proposed revisions

Overview

As part of the professional debate around the proposals put forward by the consultation on the BS 8233, the CIEH and the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) are hosting an online member forum. We will be presenting our combined views about elements of the proposed revisions to guidance on sound insultation and noise reduction for buildings. 

This free event is an opportunity for CIEH and ANC members to delve into the proposals, ask questions, and consider how you would like to respond to the consultation which closes on 6 September 2025.

Outcomes

• Promote debate among CIEH and ANC members  
• Support noise professionals in preparing individual responses to the BSI consultation 
• Gather feedback from our professional communities to help shape the CIEH and ANC’s respective positions
