CIEH Tackling Empty Homes Conference

About this conference

There is an estimated 700,000 empty homes and roughly 265,000 of them in England have been vacant for longer than six months and are classified by the government as long-term empty (LTE). Bringing LTE houses back into use would not only help to fill housing needs but have a significant impact on the communities around them, as long-term empty properties can attract anti-social behaviour and, in some cases, reduce an area's value.

This half-day conference provides insight and best practices, latest guidance and new initiatives being used across the country to bring empty homes back into use.

The conference will look at collaborative work programmes making an impact and how together empty homes work helps to achieve shared goals of tackling the housing emergency and meeting affordable and social housing needs.
